“Erdenes Mongol” Group and its constituent companies are expanding their cooperation with the Republic of Korea in the areas of important mineral research, geological exploration, mining rehabilitation, and specialist training. Several important memorandums and agreements were signed during the “Important Minerals – Mining Investment 2025” meeting held in the country.

🔰As part of the cooperation, an agreement was reached to cooperate with KOMIR Corporation, which operates in the fields of important mineral geology, exploration, rare metal processing, mineral resource development and rehabilitation, in the field of mining rehabilitation.

🔰It has also been decided to send 500 students to study engineering at Jeonbuk National University, Republic of Korea, and train international-level specialists. There are 450 universities in the Republic of Korea, and only 9 schools provide training in minerals and engineering. Chonbuk University trains specialists in the fields of mine blasting research, mineral exploration, extraction, enrichment, and processing.
🔰As a result, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the KIGAM Research Institute of the Republic of Korea on cooperation in the field of important mineral research. During this time, “Erdenes Alt Resource” LLC, a subsidiary of the “Erdenes Mongol” consortium, signed a contract with the Samsung Group to supply silver concentrate worth 17 million US dollars.

🔰In addition, we will work with the Development Bank of Mongolia and Korea Investment & Securities (Asia) to attract sources of financing for projects and programs to be implemented in our country at low costs.
🔰As a result of these collaborations, Mongolia has the opportunity to develop its natural resources more efficiently, train professional engineers in the Republic of Korea, and intensify its activities in the international market.
