MEMBERS OF THE STANDING COMMITTEE ON INDUSTRIAL POLICY WORKED AT THE MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND MINERAL RESOURCES

Members of the Parliament's Standing Committee on Industrialization Policy met with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources to review the implementation and operation of the Industrial Park policy and exchange views.
At the meeting, Minister of Industry and Trade Ts. Tuvaan presented the government's policy on industrial and technological parks and its implementation. The Mongolian Government's 2024-2028 Action Program includes the implementation of 14 mega projects, seven of which belong to the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It was reported that the government meeting determined the locations of the coal-chemical, coke-chemical complexes, steel complexes, and copper processing complexes included in the program and issued an official task to intensify project work.
The meeting also included an introduction to the six state-owned production and technology parks implemented by the “Erdenes” Production and Technology Park under “Erdenes Mongol” LLC, a privately owned production and technology park, the “Altan Shirit” Production and Technology Park implemented in the Altanshiree soum of Dornogovi aimag, and representatives of the locally owned production and technology park, the Nalaikh Building Materials Production and Technology Park, presented their NTP activities and construction progress.
Industrial parks are of great importance for the development of the country's society and economy, the production of import-substituting products, the improvement of economic competitiveness, the support of regional development, and the implementation of national projects and programs. Therefore, it is necessary to eliminate the contradictions in the legal environment, improve mutual coordination, and promptly resolve the existing difficulties, and express the support and cooperation of the Standing Committee on Industrialization Policy in the future, and give directions to further intensify its activities.
